Designed during a variable type initiation led by Eugénie Bidaut at the École d'Art La Cambre in Brussels, the typeface constructs its letterforms through two variable axes, yielding six distinct weights named after ant roles – from Affamées to Soldates. The ant-colony metaphor is not merely decorative; it structures the design logic, with glyphs, ligatures and animated ligatures all emerging from the collective labour of the 'ouvrières'. The result is an organic, experimental display face with a distinctive handcrafted character.
