Each letter in Le Chaufferie is stacked upon the previous one, generating dense overlapping collisions that are corrected in real time by an extensive ligature system. Stylistic alternates allow further refinement of the result. The typeface won the ATypI Bukva:raz! prize in 2002, recognising the structural originality of its approach.
