What this is
A directory of typefaces from independent foundries. We index what foundries publish in their own catalogues so you can find their work. We’re not affiliated with any of them, we don’t sell fonts and we take no cut of anything you buy.
Typefaces belong to their foundries
Every typeface, name, specimen image and piece of foundry copy belongs to the foundry that made it. Nothing here is a licence to use a typeface. Buying and licensing happens on the foundry’s own site, under their terms.
If you’re a foundry and want your work removed, tell us and we’ll take it down. No argument.
Accounts
While the beta is invite-only, accounts are by invitation. Keep your sign-in details to yourself and don’t share an account. We can suspend or remove an account that’s being used to abuse the site, scrape it wholesale or break these terms. You can delete yours whenever you like.
Fair use of the site
Don’t scrape the catalogue, hammer the search, try to get at data that isn’t yours or use the site to break the law. We rate-limit things to keep it working for everyone.
Brief mode
Brief mode uses a language model to suggest typefaces from what you describe. Suggestions are a starting point and can be wrong. Check anything that matters against the foundry’s own page, especially language coverage, weights and licensing.
Accuracy
We work hard to keep the index right, but catalogue details change and errors get through. The foundry’s own site is always the authority on what a typeface is and what it costs. Tell us about a mistake and we’ll fix it.
The site is provided as-is
It’s free, it’s in beta and it may break or go away. We don’t promise it’ll be available or that everything on it is correct, and we’re not liable for losses arising from using it or from anything you buy elsewhere after finding it here. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed. English law applies and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
