Josafronde specimen from Typothèque Bye Bye Binary

An organic display typeface grown from a Metapost skeleton, developed at the erg school in Brussels, with post-binary letterform experiments and a deliberately rough, punk-gardened quality.

About

Josafronde originates from weeds growing against speculative real-estate development in Schaerbeek, Brussels, taking its skeletal structure from Metapost code initiated at the erg school with Antoine Gelgon and Ludi Loiseau. Its current form retains the organic approximations of its mathematical gardening, resisting clean refinement in favour of a living, propagated aesthetic. The typeface includes post-binary ligatures such as "i·el" and "s·he", positioning it within a broader practice of inclusive typographic experimentation.

Classification

An organic, hand-influenced display typeface grown from a Metapost skeleton, retaining deliberately approximate, punk-gardened curves that resist clean geometric classification.
