Qoronfull
Boharat · Tawfiq Dawi, Abdo Mohamed · 2022

A single-weight Arabic display typeface from Boharat, drawing on Kufi calligraphy and the organic forms of the clove plant to shape its curves and ligatures.
About
Designed in collaboration with Hey Porter, Qoronfull takes its name from the Arabic word for clove, a spice native to Indonesia. The letterforms translate the flowers, leaves and stems of the clove plant into a Kufi calligraphic framework, producing a dense, exuberant display face. A generous set of type compositions and ligatures extends its expressive range.
Classification
An Arabic display typeface rooted in Kufi calligraphic tradition, with stylised curves and ligatures derived from botanical forms. The single bold weight and compositional ligature system place it firmly in the display category.
