A three-weight serif drawn from ancient Greek stone inscriptions and archaeological sources, with alternate letterforms reflecting regional variants from Crete, Corinth and Ionia.
About
PF Hellenica Serif Pro takes its forms from photographs of archaeological sites and historical references spanning back to 1100 BC, translating the lapidary character of classical Greek epigraphy into a usable type family. Alternate glyphs at uppercase, lowercase and accented positions capture the regional diversity of ancient Greek letterforms. The Pro edition extends coverage across Latin, Greek and Cyrillic scripts in three weights.
Classification
Inspired by ancient Greek stone inscriptions dating to 1100 BC, the letterforms draw on archaeological sources and regional Greek variants, placing it firmly in the inscriptional or lapidary serif tradition with a display orientation.
