An ultrablack slab serif by Svetlana Morozova in which extreme stem weight reduces counters to narrow slits, designed for large-scale display use.
About
Designed in response to the TDC 2011 exhibition, Fatum pushes slab serif weight to an extreme where counters become barely visible slits within massive letter bodies. The single Regular style is intended for posters, magazine headings, playbills and similar large-scale applications. Its filled contours also lend themselves to inserting pictures or ornaments within the letterforms themselves.
Classification
An ultrablack slab serif with extreme stem thickness and closed counter spaces, placing it firmly in the display slab category. The massive, near-closed counters and decorative potential distinguish it from workhorse slab designs.
