Rooted in the Naskh calligraphic tradition yet stripped of decorative flourish, IranSans became closely associated with the Iranian startup ecosystem after its debut in 2014. Its 11 weights share a consistent skeletal structure, and a variable font axis covers the full weight range from 100 to 1000. Dot placement is handled dynamically based on surrounding letterforms, a deliberate departure from the right-shifted convention inherited from early printing devices.
