First released in 2016 and updated to version 4.0 in 2022, IranYekan sits between the rigid geometry of Yekan and the more humanist IranSans, introducing subtle curvature to improve legibility without losing a contemporary appearance. Dots shift from round to square and vary in connection across weights, while the variable font offers four distinct dot styles alongside a continuous weight axis from Thin to Heavy. The family supports Persian, Arabic, Kurdish, Urdu and Latin scripts, making it a practical choice for multilingual Persian-language interfaces and editorial work.
