Peyda
NoonFont · Naser Khadem · 2023

A geometric sans designed primarily for Persian and Arabic, covering Latin, Kurdish and Urdu across ten weights with a variable font option added in version 4.0.
About
Conceived in 2019 and first released in 2023, Peyda uses a vertical-horizontal skeleton and simplified letter forms to produce consistent negative spaces across both Arabic and Latin characters. Ten weights run from Thin to ExtraBlack, with stylistic alternates, swash forms and discretionary ligatures offering typographic variety. Version 4.0 introduced a variable font file and added Kurdish and Urdu language support.
Classification
A geometric sans with a vertical and horizontal skeleton, regularised negative spaces and simplified letter forms designed for both Persian/Arabic and Latin scripts. Its structured, clean construction aligns it clearly with the geometric sans tradition.
