About
Commissioned through a branding project led by Juan Carlos Fernández, Planetazul began as a customisation of Lechuga's typeface Bruna before evolving into a fully exclusive design. Its three weights – Profundo, Medio and Claro – progress from darker to medium, each sharing a visual language of modified strokes and endings intended to evoke the fluidity of water. The typeface is exclusive to Agua Planeta Azul and is not available for retail licensing.
Classification
A custom corporate typeface derived from Lechuga's existing Bruna typeface, with strokes and terminals adapted to evoke flowing water. Its humanist structure is modified with bespoke details suited to display-weight brand typography.
