Multiva Sans
Lechuga Type · Antonio Mejía Lechuga, Elí Castellanos

A bespoke corporate typeface commissioned for Banco Multiva, adapted from Lechuga Type's Colossus with modified letterforms, extended monetary symbols and manual hinting for screen use across Mexico.
About
Developed as an exclusive typographic identity for Banco Multiva following the bank's logo refresh, the design departs from Colossus through targeted changes to the /M/, /a/, /g/ and /t/, and slightly increased ascender proportions to aid legibility in long-form body text such as contracts. Tabular figures, monetary and mathematical symbols are monospaced across all weights and styles for reliable table performance, and manual hinting was applied throughout to improve rasterisation on both Windows and Mac. Delivered under a perpetual licence, the project gave the client full typographic exclusivity without the cost of a ground-up commission.
Classification
A custom corporate sans-serif derived from Colossus, developed in collaboration with CocijoType. Modified letterforms and extended monetary and tabular symbols point to a humanist sans-serif orientation suited to both display and text applications.
