Designed by Thomas Bizzarri and Alain Rodriguez, Harker traces a lineage from anonymous 19th-century Western foundry types through Olympic (Deberny & Peignot, 1937) to the serialised gothic literature of Bram Stoker's era. Its defining feature is two capital heights, a compositional device that fell out of favour with the International Style but resurfaced in the 1990s on film posters and rap album covers. The design balances calligraphic letterform origins against geometric rationalisation, with high stroke contrast and thin, flat serifs typical of the Didot tradition.
