Staatliches reconstructs condensed all-caps lettering from the Bauhaus tradition, digitised from original source material and cleaned up for font production. Diacritic support was added to meet Google Fonts language requirements before launch. The collaboration between Carras and Brian Larossa of Type Brut produced a single-weight display face suited to headline and poster use.
