QiGong V.06 Typeface specimen from 6TM Magazine

A single-weight display face by Kazuhiro Aihara with deliberately distorted letterforms shaped by martial arts movement and meditative restraint – more art object than workhorse.

About

QiGong V.06 is a derivative of Aihara's earlier QiGong V.01 project, carrying forward its concept of typographic posture and graphic meditation. The letterforms are shaped by controlled distortion and spiritual restraint, evoking the discipline of traditional martial arts rather than conventional typographic construction. It suits art direction and editorial contexts where visual impact counts more than text legibility, though its single weight and narrow character set limit practical range.

Classification

The design draws on martial arts movement and meditative restraint, producing organic irregularity rather than geometric precision. No italic, condensed or mono variants.
