Obscura TM specimen from 6TM Magazine

A single-weight distortion display face whose three contextual alternates shuffle automatically during typing to produce deliberate visual chaos, aimed squarely at posters and nightlife graphics.

About

Obscura TM is a blurred, distortion-heavy display typeface built for the nightlife and poster circuit. Its headline feature is three stylistic sets that cycle automatically when Contextual Alternates are enabled, making each line of text visually unpredictable. At 595 glyphs – covering diacritics, ligatures, symbols and currency – it is technically complete, though the point is atmosphere rather than legibility.

Classification

Single-weight display face built around a deliberate blur and distortion aesthetic. Three stylistic sets cycle automatically via Contextual Alternates, producing unpredictable letterform variation with each keystroke. Legibility is intentionally secondary to atmosphere.
