Mourier
Velvetyne · Eric Mourier, with the contribution of Sébastien Hayez, Ariel Martín Pérez, Alexander Kondratenko · 2011

A rigidly geometric alphabet built on a 7x7 unit grid of unclosed lines, revived from a 1971 lead-cast original.
About
Eric Mourier drew the original alphabet in 1971 to a strict set of rules: a 7 by 7 unit square grid and lines left deliberately unclosed. It first appeared cast in lead for the booklet The Myth about Bird B. Sébastien Hayez digitised it with Mourier's approval, Alexander Kondratenko later added Cyrillic capitals, and Ariel Martín Pérez filled out lowercase letters, diacritics and alternates for both scripts.
Classification
