Lineal
Velvetyne · Frank Adebiaye, with the contribution of Anton Moglia, Ariel Martín Pérez · 2011

A modular geometric sans built without optical correction, closer to Futura reduced to its raw grid logic.
About
Lineal started as Frank Adebiaye's modular take on geometric sans construction, assembled from repeating units with no optical adjustment softening the result. Anton Moglia later added a full lowercase and extended the weight range from Thin to Heavy, and a 2023 revision by Ariel Martín Pérez broadened language support and tightened the spacing and kerning.
Classification
Built from modules on a strict grid with no optical correction applied, giving it a Futura-like geometry stripped of the usual compensations. Anton Moglia later filled out the lowercase and weight range; a 2023 pass by Ariel Martín Pérez added language coverage.
