The reading half of Dargon: a sharp-serifed text face for fantasy games, novels and RPG magazines.
About
Dargon Text pairs with the uncial display styles of Dargon but is drawn for body copy, from game menus and dialogue on a TV screen to short paragraphs and novels. Sharp, prominent serifs and flaring stems give it a medieval edge, while low contrast and generous spacing keep it readable on screen and on coated paper. Five weights with italics, plus a variable font, support more than 200 Latin-based languages. Dargon won the Gerard Unger Scholarship.
Classification
The text subfamily of Dargon: a low-contrast serif with sharp, prominent serifs and flaring stems, drawn for body copy and game interfaces rather than the uncial display styles of its parent.
