Badinage grew out of logo sketches, with letterform connections odd enough that Montalbano felt compelled to finish the design. It ships in eight weights from Thin to Black, and includes a set of plain capitals so all-caps text avoids the flourishes and connecting strokes that usually get in the way when scripts are set in caps. Multiple OpenType stylistic sets and contextual alternates handle the beginnings and ends of words.
