On a mission to create the world’s biggest index of typefaces from the world’s best type foundries

displayvariable displaycondensed
Sled specimen from Studio Linda Hintz

A fully variable display typeface built from a skeletal centre line with auto-generated stroke weight, spanning Compressed to Wide and designed with animation in mind.

About

Sled is constructed entirely from a centre-line skeleton, with stroke weight applied automatically rather than drawn by hand. The letterforms sit at a slight angle and feature deliberate disconnections at stroke junctions, lending the face an informal, kinetic quality. Its variable width axis is intended to respond dynamically to available space, and the typeface is explicitly designed to be animated.

Classification
