Mov specimen from Studio Feixen Fonts

A variable display face from Studio Feixen designed to move, with two animation axes that make every letter turn, morph or slide in its own way.

About

Mov treats each letter as a small motion study, drawn on a nine-part square grid and animated by two custom axes, MOV1 and MOV2, whose interplay allows circular and looping movement as well as straight back-and-forth. The four static styles, Mov One to Four, are the extremes of those axes, and the Variable font covers everything between. The 657 glyphs include at least eight alternates per letter, so it is built for animated identities and motion graphics more than for setting text.

Classification

Modular display letters built on a square grid of nine sections, with the thinnest stem fixed at one unit. Two custom variable axes, MOV1 and MOV2, animate each letter in its own way, so it sits outside any traditional classification and belongs with experimental, motion-led display type.
