Albra Sans specimen from Rellence

A calligraphy-influenced high-contrast sans-serif from the Albra collection, available in seven weights with matching italics and variable font support.

About

Albra Sans is the sans-serif member of Jan Weidemüller's Albra collection, translating the family's calligraphic stroke contrast into a clean, versatile form. Seven weights from Thin to Black each have matching italics, with both upright and italic variable fonts included. Over 500 glyphs and an extended OpenType feature set – alternates, ligatures, old-style figures – make it well suited to editorial, fashion and branding work.

Classification

Calligraphy-influenced high-contrast sans-serif with pen-derived stroke variation. Sits between humanist and geometric classifications, retaining the quirkiness of the broader Albra collection while remaining clean enough for extended text and display work. Moderate contrast distinguishes it from both neutral grotesques and dramatic display cuts.
