A humanist sans with an unusual tension between soft outer terminals and hard stem junctions, released by ParaType in 2014 across five weights with matching italics.
About
Designed by Manvel Shmavonyan with participation from Alexandra Korolkova, Vaccine Sans pairs soft terminal endings with hard stem junction constructions, creating a face that reads as both firm and approachable. Very low stroke contrast supports reliable performance at small sizes, in low-quality print and under poor reading conditions. The ten-style family suits a broad range of applications including magazine typography, packaging, signage and children's books.
Classification
A humanist sans with soft terminals contrasted against hard stem junctions, and very low stroke contrast – characteristics consistent with the humanist sans tradition adapted for legibility at small sizes.
