A narrow, high-contrast display face designed by Igor Nastenko in 1993, drawing on Old Russian letterform traditions with unicase and decorative alternates.
About
Designed at the Design Studio of Igor Nastenko, Russia features extremely compressed letterforms with sharp geometric cuts and strong vertical stress. The unicase character set blends Latin and Cyrillic-influenced forms, lending the face a distinctly Slavic historical flavour. Three weights – Thin, Light and Bold – cover a modest but functional range for display use.
Classification
The specimen shows extremely tall, narrow letterforms with sharp geometric cuts and unicase characteristics, mixing Latin and Cyrillic-influenced forms. The high contrast, compressed proportions and decorative incised detailing place it firmly in the display category.
