MegaMegaTypeType
A 2020 geometric slab serif from Double Alex Font Studio, built around straight terminals in place of classical teardrop forms, spanning eight weights with matching italics across standard and Pro versions.
About
Designed by Alexey Chekulaev, Postulat replaces conventional teardrop-shaped elements with straight ones, lending the family a clean, dynamic quality that sits apart from more classical slab models. The Pro version, released a year later, extends coverage to Greek and Vietnamese scripts and adds small caps, stylistic alternates and local alternates, taking the glyph count beyond 600. The family is suited to headline and display work, with its weight range also supporting editorial and branding applications.
Classification
A contemporary slab serif with geometric construction, replacing classical teardrop terminals with straight forms. The combination of smooth and simple straight shapes gives it a rationalist, modern character within the slab tradition.
