Experimental display family from 1995, derived from Tagir Safayev's PT Hermes and shaped by the abstract expressionist paintings of Jackson Pollock.
About
Designed by Alexander Tarbeev at ParaType in 1995, Pollock takes PT Hermes (1993) as its structural basis and distorts it through five progressively distinct stylistic variants. The free-form, ragged letterforms channel the gestural energy of Jackson Pollock's drip paintings. It is intended for advertising and poster-scale display use.
Classification
An experimental decorative family derived from PT Hermes, with free-form, ragged letterforms inspired by Jackson Pollock's abstract expressionism. Its five stylistic variants and heavily irregular, poster-scale character place it firmly in the display category.
