Nicholas is the display counterpart to Goodchild, Shinntype's Jenson revival, optimised for close-set headline typography rather than text use. Alternate characters are included to improve inter-character fit automatically, going beyond optical kerning or blanket negative tracking. Five styles span Regular through Extra Bold, with an italic.
Classification
A display-oriented Jenson revival, related to Shinntype's Goodchild text face. Its Venetian roots place it in the humanist serif tradition, but its display-specific spacing and alternates push it firmly into display territory.
