Mister Earl specimen from ParaType

A narrow decorative sans originally designed for Bitstream in 1991, later extended with a Cyrillic version developed by Natalia Vasilyeva in 2001.

About

Originally created by Jennifer Maestre for Bitstream, Mister Earl is a condensed display sans with a playful, informal character suited to advertising and poster work. The Cyrillic extension, developed a decade later by Natalia Vasilyeva, broadens its reach for Russian-language projects. With a single Regular style, it is a specialised display face rather than a workhorse.

Classification

A narrow decorative sans serif with a playful, informal character, designed for advertising and display use. Its condensed proportions and decorative qualities place it firmly in the display category.
