An irreverent display sans by Shiva Nallaperumal, conceived from nothing more than the sound of its own name and loosely inflected by the top-heavy expressiveness of Roger Excoffon.
About
Pancho began as an experiment: could a typeface be designed using only its name as a starting point, with no intended application? The result is a low-contrast, informal sans with deliberate top-heaviness and quirky letterforms that pay quiet tribute to Excoffon's idiosyncratic approach. Five weights run from Light to Bold, making it suitable for headlines, branding, packaging and casual editorial work.
Classification
An informal, low-contrast display sans with deliberate top-heaviness and idiosyncratic letterforms inspired by Roger Excoffon's expressive work, placing it firmly in the display category rather than a functional text sans. Also sold in Devanagari versions.
