Designed at Double Alex Font Studio, Alliance takes Goudy's Berkeley Old Style of 1938 as its starting point, retaining the humanist proportions, moderate stroke contrast and bracketed serifs characteristic of that face. The family spans seven styles across regular, medium and bold weights, each with a corresponding italic, plus a separate titling variant. The specimen confirms open, calligraphic letterforms with a classical feel suited to editorial use.
