Sekkeh
NoonFont · Fatemeh Cheraghi, Shahrzad Akbari · 2025

A two-weight Persian display typeface drawing on the angular inscriptions of historic coinage, reinterpreting Kufic calligraphy with a contemporary geometric structure.
About
Sekkeh takes its inspiration from the engraved calligraphy found on historic coins, where script served as an emblem of identity and authority compressed into a small circle. The letterforms adopt an angular, almost architectural rigidity reminiscent of Kufic tradition, while the overall treatment is contemporary enough for modern headline use. Available in Black and Fat weights, it supports Persian, Arabic, Urdu, Kurdish and Latin.
Classification
An angular, architecturally structured Persian display typeface drawing on Kufic calligraphic tradition and coin inscription heritage. Its geometric order and bold presence place it firmly in the display category, with no text-size application intended.
