Havosh specimen from NoonFont

A strictly angular display typeface with no curves, designed in three styles with an extensive system of contextual alternates to reduce negative space in Arabic and Latin text.

About

Every character in Havosh is constructed from straight lines alone, with no Bézier curve handles defined, producing a hard-edged, rectangular weight that suits bold headline and poster use. The family compensates for the tight geometry with a glyph set nearly doubled by contextual and stylistic alternates, which automatically adjust character height and fill voids between letterforms. Designed with gaming aesthetics in mind, it supports Persian, Arabic, Urdu, Kurdish and English.

Classification

A purely angular display typeface with no curves, constructed entirely from straight lines and angled strokes within a rectangular structure. Its heavy, stylised nature places it firmly in the display category with geometric construction as its defining characteristic.
