A display typeface that transposes Early Cyrillic letterforms into Latin and Greek scripts, drawing on the Bulgarian school of early Cyrillic writing and Ukrainian decorative tradition.
About
Palitura takes its name from an Old Ukrainian word for a lacquered book cover, and its letterforms reflect that heritage through sharp terminals, vertical strokes that narrow towards the base, stylised oblique hooks at the top and triangular accent forms. The design bridges Latin, Greek and Cyrillic scripts across six weights, covering more than 480 languages with 1,232 glyphs. It is a rare attempt to carry a specifically Slavic calligraphic sensibility into a pan-script display family.
