KTF Metro Botanical specimen from Kyiv Type Foundry

A tall, tightly condensed decorative capital set reconstructed from Kyiv Metro station lettering, released free in the Kyiv Metro Fonts package.

About

Botanical belongs to the eclectic station alphabets of the late 1980s and early 1990s, when each new Kyiv Metro station got its own lettering. Its slender capitals are made of rounded vertical bars joined by small dots and notches, and it sets well as stacked lines of tall text. The workshop reconstructed it from the station original and KTF finished it for the free Metro package.

Classification

Very narrow, tall capitals built from rounded vertical strokes with small circular joins and cut-outs, reconstructed from the individual lettering of a Kyiv Metro station. Decorative and headline-only.
