TheSerif

serifslab-influenced text serifcondenseditalic

The serif member of the Thesis superfamily, drawn as a headline and pull-quote companion to TheSans but sturdy enough to carry running text on its own.
About
TheSerif shares TheSans' eight-weight ladder and three widths, giving art directors a matched serif to pair against the sans without hunting for a stylistic fit elsewhere. It was conceived for headlines, subheads and pull quotes but has since been used as a standalone text face in longer-form editorial work.
Classification
Designed as the Thesis system's secondary face, TheSerif carries moderate contrast and squared serifs that sit between an oldstyle text serif and a slab.
