About
Designed by Daniel Hernández and published in 2019, Andes Neue expands on its predecessor with 759 glyphs covering 219 Latin-based languages across 212 countries. The four variants — standard, Alt 1, Alt 2 and Alt 3 — progress from forms closest to the original Andes through increasingly alternate character sets, offering typographers a meaningful range of stylistic choices within a single purchase. Small caps are included in each variant, and the weight range from Thin to Black suits both short and mid-length text settings.
Classification
A humanist sans-serif with four stylistic variants offering distinct glyph personalities, from cleaner more classical forms to mixed alternates, across a wide weight range with italics throughout.
