Texta offers eight weights with matching italics in two subfamilies: Basic, which follows conventional humanist lowercase forms, and Alt, which replaces characters such as 'a', 'g' and 'y' with geometric constructions for a more neutral character. The family supports over 200 languages and includes a comprehensive glyph set of 496 characters, covering ligatures, monetary symbols and stylistic alternates. It functions as a general-purpose workhorse suited to both editorial and UI applications.
Classification
Texta draws from humanist models spanning Johnston and Frutiger, with additional influence from sign-painter Gothic lettering, producing a rational yet warmly proportioned sans-serif suited to extended text setting.
