About
PT Sans Pro builds on the established PT Sans foundation, a typeface originally commissioned to improve typographic standards across Russia's diverse linguistic regions. The family covers four weights from Light to Bold, each with a companion italic, making it a practical choice for extended text in multilingual contexts. Its humanist forms balance legibility with a degree of warmth, suited to both screen and print use.
Classification
PT Sans Pro is a humanist sans-serif continuing the PT Sans lineage, with letterforms informed by Russian type-making traditions alongside Latin humanist conventions. The family spans multiple weights with italics, consistent with a workhorse text typeface.
