MegaMegaTypeType
An ultra-condensed black taken from a 1982 Soviet film poster, extended to Hebrew in 2023.
About
Compact was drawn from a rare Reklamizdat poster found by Kirill Gluschenko and never seen in use elsewhere. Its rectangles stack like toy wooden blocks and turn the line into a surface, with all the action happening in the counters and gaps. Matan Iontef added a Hebrew with niqqud in 2023, adjusting the grid so the texture matches the Cyrillic and Latin.
Classification
Letters made of equal-width vertical rectangles, slightly rounded and set as tight as they go. The foundry says it only works big, which is the definition of a display face.
