About

Part of Jikji Soft's SM Classic family, this single-weight serif was reworked from the earlier SM typeface series using a three-quarter spacing system to refine character and line spacing. The redesign prioritises both aesthetic refinement and functional legibility, earning recognition among Korean typography and editorial professionals. It covers 2,350 Hangul glyphs, 4,888 Hanja characters, 94 Latin characters and 986 special characters.

Classification

A traditional Korean myeongjo-style typeface designed for body text, rooted in the original drawings (wondo) of Choi Jeong-ho, a foundational figure in Korean type design. The design follows the proportional conventions of classical Korean print typography.
