A five-weight geometric sans that pairs art deco uppercase letterforms with a constructed single-storey lowercase, named in tribute to Irish Modernist designer Eileen Gray.
About
The uppercase draws on art deco conventions popular in the 1920s, while the lowercase follows geometric sans principles with single-storey 'a' and 'g', and straightened terminals on 't' and 'y'. Alternate forms of 'C', 'G', 'J' and 'S' extend its typographic range, and distinctive non-alphabetic characters include narrow currency symbols for dollar and rupee. Five weights make it serviceable across branding, editorial headlines and screen use.
Classification
A geometric sans with art deco capital letterforms and single-storey constructed lowercase, blending 1920s geometric sans conventions with art deco styling in the uppercase.
