Sets Grotesk specimen from Dogray

A four-optical-size grotesque in nine weights per size, drawing on 60s and 70s sans-serif traditions with playful alternates and a structured approach to scale-dependent proportions.

About

Each of the four optical sizes – XS, S, M and L – carries distinct proportions: larger sizes sport taller x-heights, shorter extenders, larger dots and wider characters, echoing the approach of mid-century grotesks such as Futura Maxi. The L size drops the tails on a, g, l and y by default for a compact display look, while all tailed and tailless alternates remain accessible via stylistic sets. Differing-direction cuts on diacritics and punctuation add a quiet idiosyncrasy across the family.

Classification

A contemporary grotesque with four optical sizes (XS, S, M, L) drawing on 20th-century grotesk traditions from the 1960s and 70s. Each size varies in x-height, character width, ascender and descender length, and dot size, giving the family a structured optical system rather than a single-size interpolation.
