Carmen Nácher's Hierba takes the Arnold Böcklin typeface as its starting point and refines it for contemporary use, retaining the flowing, botanical sensibility of the 1904 original without wholesale imitation. The name – Spanish for grass – reflects the Art Nouveau movement's central preoccupation with natural forms. A single Regular weight covers 223 glyphs across a broad range of Latin-based languages.
