A major expansion of Paul Renner's 1927 Futura, developed by Bauer Types in collaboration with TypeTogether to extend the family across multiple scripts with full typographic feature sets and a newly defined Regular weight.

Developed from original Renner drawings and early Bauer metal specimens, Futura®100 preserves the deliberate inconsistencies of the source material rather than standardising them, keeping the weight-specific terminal treatments, proportional shifts and evolving punctuation forms intact. The expansion adds a central Regular weight conceived as a functional voice within the family, alongside small caps, extended currency and symbol sets, case-sensitive punctuation, multiple figure sets and an optional optical size axis for certain scripts. The goal is a unified visual system capable of operating across global languages without imposing Latin structural logic onto other writing traditions.

Futura®100 is a geometric sans-serif, rooted in Paul Renner's 1927 original for Bauer Types, expanded into a multi-script system. The project retains Futura's defining optical corrections, precise spacing and structural logic while adding new weights, small caps, multilingual character sets and an optical size axis for supported scripts.
