An Italian harbour stencil with bold, rounded serifs, drawn from drilled metal alphabet plates.
About
Italy No.2 follows the French stencil model but was made by a different process, so its serifs are heavy and a little clumsy. These plates turn up on boats, beach accesses and kiosks along the Italian coast. The rounded letter ends make it cut well on vinyl cutters.
Classification
A bold slab-ish stencil with clumsy, rounded serifs, after drilled or milled Italian maritime stencil plates. Chunky display letterforms.
