MegaMegaTypeType
A bold Spanish hardware-store stencil, drilled rather than punched, with clear French roots.
About
Spain No.2 digitises the aluminium YOSARI stencil sets still sold in Spanish ferreterias and used on car parks. Drilling gives bolder letters and rounder serifs than the French originals, with a distinctive Q and 7. It is a small act of preserving a local typographic habit.
Classification
A bold, drilled Spanish stencil with rounded serifs and French roots, after the YOSARI sets made by Salicru in Barcelona. Display weight and texture.
