The Diagraph Jumbo's 1.75 inch export marking type, a plain low-contrast gothic in three cuts.
About
The Jumbo went into production around 1912 for marking crates and machinery bound for export, a job that later carried a legal minimum letter height of 1.5 inches. The design is a more conventional gothic than the smaller Diagraph sizes, close enough to DIN that Albert-Jan Pool remarked on the resemblance. All three styles carry the alternate M that the first Jumbo machines used as default.
Classification
The 1.75 inch Diagraph Jumbo type, a plainer gothic than the smaller Diagraph sizes and close in feel to DIN or Bahr's Normograph.
