About
FrankRe Tzar brings the proportions of the Frank-Rühl tradition into a condensed display setting, designed specifically for bold Hebrew headline typography. The font includes Hebrew Nikkud vowel marks, ligatures, discretionary ligatures, stylistic alternates and swashes, alongside a matching Latin character set covering 219 languages. Version 2.0 refines the original 2021 release with further typographic controls via OpenType.
Classification
A narrow display cut of FrankRe, itself a revival of Frank-Rühl — the canonical Hebrew serif typeface designed by Raphael Frank in 1910. The Hebrew letterforms follow the classical proportions of the original while the condensed width is optimised for bold headline setting.
