A heavy block display face inspired by the typography of Swiss graphic designer Siegfried Odermatt, converted to OpenType in 2010.
About
Built around a massive, angular structure, YWFT Novum suits headlines, posters and branding where a direct, graphic presence is required. Its rigid geometry also lends itself to pattern-making and more abstract typographic compositions. The design maintains legibility across print and digital contexts despite its extreme weight.
Classification
A heavy, blocky geometric display face with a Swiss constructivist backbone. Its extreme weight, rigid structure and high contrast place it firmly in the display category, unsuitable for extended text use.
